A BRIGHTER FUTURE IN MORRIS TOWNSHIP
Let's Make a Difference
We are running together because Morris Township deserves steady, thoughtful, and community-focused leadership.
Morris Township is not a broken community. It is one of the strongest communities in New
Jersey. But many residents have begun to feel that it is moving in the wrong direction.
Over the past several years, more residents have taken the time to attend meetings, speak out, and share their concerns. That level of engagement reflects a community that cares deeply. It also reflects a growing concern that decisions are being made without fully listening to the people they affect.
At the same time, recent political developments, including changes within the current majority and the removal of incumbent voices, have added to a sense of instability and raised broader questions about representation and accountability.
We believe Morris Township works best when leadership is balanced, responsive, and open to different perspectives.
We bring different professional backgrounds, but we share the same principles:
-
Listen first
-
Make thoughtful, informed decisions
-
Remain accountable to residents
-
Focus on the issues that directly affect this community
We are running to restore a sense of balance, strengthen trust in local government, and ensure that residents feel heard and respected.
George Talarico
Experience you can trust. Judgment that puts Morris Township first.
George Talarico has lived in Morris Township for more than 25 years. He and his wife have
raised their daughter in the community they are proud to call home.
Raised in a hardworking New Jersey family grounded in education, discipline, and service,
George built a career that reflects those values. He began as a civil engineer managing road and bridge projects, later working in construction before earning his law degree and becoming a litigation partner at national law firms. Today, he serves as a Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer in the financial services industry, where sound judgment and accountability are essential.
In Morris Township, George has dedicated years to coaching youth soccer, serving his parish,
and contributing to local institutions. He has also been active in public service, always with a
focus on giving back to the community that has given so much to his family.
George believes effective leadership begins with listening and is grounded in experience,
transparency, and respect for the community.

Joscelin Grizzetti
A strong voice for families. A commitment to community.
Joscelin Grizzetti has proudly called Morris Township home for 23 years with her husband.
Together, they have raised two children in the community they are proud to serve.
A physical therapist for over three decades, Joscelin earned both her Master's and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University. Much of her career has been devoted to helping aging adults maintain independence through home care. She has also served as an adjunct professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Seton Hall University, mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
In Morris Township, Joscelin had been deeply involved in community life. She coached youth
soccer, served on a Little League baseball board, supported school events, and will
bring the same energy and commitment to volunteer service that she has shown throughout her professional life. An avid runner, Ironman, and marathon finisher, she reflects the discipline and determination that strong local leadership requires.
Joscelin also serves on the board of the Morris Township/Morristown Republican Club and acted as campaign manager for George Talarico's campaign last year. She believes local government must listen, remain transparent, and serve the greater good of all residents.
John Biehl
Real-world experience. Practical leadership. A commitment to protecting what makes Morris
Township special.
John Biehl brings more than 40 years of experience in construction, project management, and
small business leadership, along with a deep personal commitment to the future of Morris
Township.
He completed his apprenticeship with the New Jersey Carpenters Union before earning a
professional certificate from NYU’s School of Real Estate, building a career grounded in hands-
on experience, discipline, and results. Over the course of his career, John has managed complex commercial and industrial projects and spent more than two decades as a managing partner of small businesses, where accountability, budgeting, and delivering outcomes were essential.
John and his wife chose to move to Morris Township seven years ago because of its open spaces, strong sense of community, and quality of life. It is where they have built their home.
Like many residents, he values the character of the Township and the balance it has historically maintained. John believes that the very qualities that drew families to Morris Township, its open space, thoughtful development, and community feel, are increasingly at risk. He is running to help protect and preserve what makes the Township special for current residents. As the father of two children, John feels a responsibility to be a careful steward of Morris Township, protecting what makes it special and preserving it for the next generations.
Beyond his professional background, John has been deeply involved in the community. He has
coached youth baseball, basketball, and soccer, contributing his time to help develop and mentor young residents. He has also served as Morris Township Republican Chairman and as President of the Morristown/Morris Township Republican Club, demonstrating a long-standing
commitment to civic engagement and local leadership. John believes residents deserve leadership that is practical, responsive, and grounded in real- world experience, leadership that will stand up for the community and ensure Morris Township
remains a place people are proud to call home.

Why Your Voice Matters
One-Party Rule in Morris Township
Right now, Morris Township is controlled by a single political party. As residents and Republicans, we were disappointed to see that two members of the Township Committee were recently elected without opposition. This isn’t right – our community deserves better representation, with diverse voices and healthy debate. Citizens should feel heard, and our leaders must be accountable to everyone, not just those in power. I’m running to offer an alternative, to bring fresh perspectives, and to make sure we are all heard.
The Dangers of Single-Party Rule
New Jersey’s state government is also controlled by a single party, which has led to policies that are not always in the people's best interests. Great things come from open debate, hearing different viewpoints, and finding common ground. For example, Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas famously held seven debates during their campaign, and the U.S. Constitution, the most important political document of all time, was born out of intense discussions among people with opposing views. That’s the kind of system that makes America strong.
But when power is concentrated in one party, there’s less room for debate and less accountability. We end up with policies that benefit only the ruling party’s supporters rather than the broader community. Without strong opposition, those in charge don’t feel the need to engage in meaningful discussions, leading to poor decision-making and a lack of innovation. Single-party control discourages citizen political participation, leaving people disconnected and unheard. As your representative, we will change that by bringing people back into the conversation and ensuring everyone has a say in what happens in our Township.
Trenton’s High-Density Housing Mandate and Its Impact
One consequence of New Jersey’s single-party rule is the High Density Housing Mandate, which imposes enormous, ongoing financial burdens on Morris Township without providing any state funding. This mandate forces us to cover costs like:
-
Hiring professionals to manage housing obligations,
-
Subsidizing affordable housing projects, including tax abatements, land
and development, -
Expanding services like schools, police, fire departments, and utilities, and
-
Maintaining open spaces and dealing with congestion, noise, and pollution caused by massive development.
The Township is being stretched thin, and it’s essential that we find ways to meet these obligations without breaking the bank or sacrificing the quality of life in Morris Township.

The Issues That Matter In Morris Township
Our campaign focuses on the issues residents have consistently raised and that directly affect daily life in Morris Township.
-
Public Safety and Quality of Life: A strong community begins with safe neighborhoods and a high quality of life. Residents have raised concerns about traffic, infrastructure, school capacity, and public safety. These are not abstract issues. They are everyday realities that affect how people live, work, and raise their families.
We support ensuring that public safety services are properly resourced
and that quality-of-life concerns are addressed proactively and
thoughtfully.
-
Responsible Development and Open Space: Morris Township must plan for the future without losing what makes it unique.
Development is part of any growing community. However, residents are
increasingly concerned about the pace, scale, and impact of high-density
development, particularly as additional housing obligations move
forward.
Open spaces, natural buffers, and the character of neighborhoods are not
easily replaced once they are lost. Thoughtful planning requires balance,
transparency, and a clear understanding of long-term impact.
We support responsible development that meets legal obligations while
protecting the character and open space that define Morris Township.
-
Fiscal Responsibility and Property Taxes: Residents deserve careful stewardship of their tax dollars. Property taxes have increased significantly in recent years, placing real pressure on families, retirees, and those trying to remain in the community.
We support disciplined budgeting, transparency in spending, and a focus
on long-term financial stability. Every decision should reflect its impact
on taxpayers.
-
Transparent and Accountable Government: Trust in local government is essential. Residents should feel that their voices matter and that decisions are made openly, not predetermined before public input is heard. Local government functions best when it welcomes discussion, considers different perspectives, and remains accountable to the people it serves. We support greater transparency, clearer communication, and a commitment to meaningful public engagement.
-
Keeping Local Issues Local: Morris Township elections should remain focused on Morris Township. Local government is responsible for local decisions. It should not be distracted by national political debates that fall outside its authority. We believe this election should be about taxes, development, public safety, and the future of this community, not outside political issues.
-
Community Engagement: A strong township depends on an engaged community. Morris Township is a place where residents show up, pay attention, and care deeply about their community. That engagement should be encouraged and respected. We support expanding opportunities for residents to participate, improving communication, and ensuring that community input plays a meaningful role in decision-making.
